Alyssa Guido will enter her second year as head coach for the Maritime College women's lacrosse team after leading the team to the program's first ever winning season and Skyline Conference playoff appearance in 2019.
Guido helped lead the Privateers to an 8-6 record in the spring of 2019, including a 4-3 Skyline Conference record. At the conclusion of her first year at the helm, the Skyline Conference coaches voted Guido Skyline Coach of the Year. In addition to Guido's Coach of the Year, Maritime earned four All-Conference honors with Krista Deleva and Katherine Buser earning First-Team All-Conference recognition and Catherine Pfundstein and Esmeralda Hernandez picking up Second-Team honors.
Prior to her coaching career, Guido played Division I lacrosse at Stony Brook University where she saw immediate success. In her freshman campaign, she totaled 13 goals and 13 assists while earning America East All-Rookie honors. She continued to compete at a high level throughout her four years and saw an impressive junior season where she tallied 10 goals and 20 assists. Guido then helped the Seawolves make a run to the NCAA quarterfinals in her senior season, where they dropped a 13-12 decision to No. 1 Maryland to be eliminated. In Stony Brook women's lacrosse history, she is currently second all-time in ground balls recorded in a single game with 9, and 10th all-time in career assists with 49.
After finishing her collegiate career, Guido was given the opportunity to play professionally and joined the Philadelphia Force in May of 2017. In addition to playing for the Force, she also began work with Team 91 Lacrosse in Long Island. While with Team 91, Guido coached 7th, 10th, and 12th grade girls lacrosse travel teams and took over as the Director and Account Manager for a majority of the programs travel teams.
