Patty Pehnke

Elms College Athletic Director Rob Southall announced this week that Patricia Pehnke will be the College's new Head Coach for Women's Lacrosse.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Coach Pehnke to the Elms College Athletics family" said Southall. "Her experience and success as a head coach have prepared her to lead the next chapter of the Blazer Lacrosse program".

Pehnke most recently served as the head lacrosse coach for Allegheny College (NCAA Division III) from 2021 to 2023, leading the Gators to the conference championship game in 2023. During her time at the helm at Allegheny, nine athletes would earn all-conference awards and two all-region selections. Prior to her stint at Allegheny, Pehnke served as an assistant coach at the University of Rochester (Div. III) for two seasons, one season with Albright University (Div. III), and as a graduate assistant at McDaniel College (Div. III).

A four-year member of the women's lacrosse program at the Catholic University of America (Div. III), Pehnke earned all-region honors as a senior in 2015 and was chosen to play in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) North-South All-Star Game. She earned a pair of All-Landmark Conference honors as a student-athlete and helped the Cardinals win three conference titles and earn three trips to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.

Pehnke holds a bachelor's degree in History from Catholic and earned a master's degree in Kinesiology from McDaniel. She is very involved in the IWLCA, regularly attending the organization's convention, hosting professional development seminars, and served as an official for the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).

Soccer in College gave me a good point of reference for perspective coaches, somewhere I could direct them to see all of my data, in a well-organized, efficient manner. It was a good tool for my recruiting efforts.
