Elizabeth Ghilardi

Elizabeth Ghilardi enters her eighth season at the helm of the Skidmore College women’s lacrosse program after taking over in the 2011 season.

Ghilardi led the Thoroughbreds to Liberty League tournament in her first season. In 2015, she guided the team to a program record 13 wins, tying a program high with seven regular season Liberty League wins, en route to its first Liberty League championship game appearance. It was the first of three consecutive appearances for Skidmore in the title game. Ghilardi has a 63-57 career record over seven seasons at Skidmore and has gone 35-19 over the last three years.

At Skidmore she has coached 25 All-Liberty League honorees, seven all-region selections and 41 Liberty League All-Academic Team honorees. In 2016, Ghilardi coached junior defender Rachel Talanian, who became the third IWLCA All-American in school history, and first in 13 seasons. Talanian repeated that feat in 2017, becoming the program's first two-time honoree.

At Robert Morris, Ghilardi specialized in training goalkeepers and the attack. That 2010 season saw the Colonials place five players on the Northeast Conference All-Conference team, the most in the program’s history.

Prior to Robert Morris, Ghilardi was the assistant women's lacrosse coach at Connecticut College where she was responsible for on and off-campus recruiting, practice preparation and specialized in on-field coaching for the attack and goalkeepers.

While at Connecticut College she coached two All-NESCAC players, six Regional All-Americans, four NESCAC All-Academics, an IWLCA D III Academic Honor Roll Team and a NESCAC All-Academic Team. She was a member of the Regional All-American Committee in 2009 and the IWLCA Rules Committee in 2008.

In addition, Ghilardi was the Co-Director of the Connecticut College Lacrosse Camp, as well as the fall and winter lacrosse clinics from 2006-2009. She worked as a coach for the Nor'Easter Lacrosse Club, the Elite Lacrosse Program at Greenwich Academy and coached at several camps across the country, including the Amonte Sports Lacrosse Camp, the Princeton Lacrosse Camp and the Elite 180 Camp.

Ghilardi competed in lacrosse at Colby College and graduated in 2006 with a B.A. in human development and education. While at Colby she was named team MVP and first team Regional All-American in 2006. During that year she finished third on her team with 56 points, including 36 goals and 20 assists. She graduated with an M.A. in psychology from Connecticut College in 2009.

Emily Lange

Emily Lange joined the Skidmore Women's Lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant coach in January 2017.

Lange was a three-year member of the Oswego State women’s lacrosse team. She also spent one season as senior leader and impact player for the Laker’s field hockey squad. Her collegiate lacrosse career started as a walk on attack as a Sophomore in the Fall of 2013. She was then moved to midfield and named captain for her Junior and Senior seasons. Throughout her career, Lange started all 47 games played as a Laker. Her senior season was collectively her best, between her leadership on the midfield line and her strength statistically. Lange collected 32 ground balls, 38 draw controls, and caused 21 turnovers, being among the top 3 leaders in each category. She also finished with a .522 shooting percentage.

In her final collegiate game against Cortland in the SUNYAC semi-finals, Lange notched and then surpassed her 100th career goal, ending with a total of 101 goals and total 118 points. She is among 16 fellow Lakers in program history to join the 100 point club at Oswego State and 1 of 3 to do so in a 3 year career. Her performance in the 2016 SUNYAC Championship tournament earned her a spot on the All-Tournament team.

Outside of lacrosse, Lange played one season on the Oswego State field hockey team in Fall 2015. She started at defensive mid in all 14 games played, and led the team in assists for the season. Lange was second on the team in points, tallying 11 with 3 goals and 5 assists. Her presence on the field earned her Second Team All-Conference.

Lange graduated from Oswego State in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology.

Lange is a native to Saratoga Springs and has attended various Skidmore Field Hockey clinics growing up.
