Lindsay Weaver

Weaver begins her first season as the head coach at Mercyhurst in 2024.

Weaver began her time on the sidelines in 2020 when she started as an assistant coach for Holy Names Academy in Seattle, Wa. before making her way to Erie for the first time in 2022. She took on the role of volunteer assistant coach for the Lakers for the 2022 season while also manning the helm at Fairview High School as the women’s lacrosse head coach.

Weaver joined Allegheny College prior to the 2023 season as an assistant coach, helping the Gators to a 14-5 record this past campaign in a season in which they finished 8-1 in the PAC while making it to the second round of the conference tournament. After working primarily with draw specialists, the team saw their draw controls raise 6%, showing Weaver’s ability to make an impact right away. Her tutelage went further than the field as she also proved instrumental in the team’s 3.87 GPA, showcasing Weaver’s intent on developing student-athletes.

Sarah Farley

Sarah Farley brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Mercyhurst Women's Lacrosse program. As a former player for Central Michigan, Lindenwood, and the University of Alabama in Huntsville, she has demonstrated her skills and dedication on the field. At Lindenwood, she tallied 14 goals in the 2019 season, and during her time at Huntsville, she accumulated 36 goals over two seasons, earning a spot on the GSC Honor Roll in 2021.

Head Coach Lindsay Weaver expressed her excitement about Farley's appointment: "I am excited to welcome Sarah to Laker nation. She brings a wide range of skills to our program from her past experiences as a player. I'm looking forward to her elevating our attack and helping propel our program forward."

Farley's coaching journey began in 2018 at IMG Academy, where she instructed youth players. She later became a Coaching Assistant at Huntsville in 2019 and served as a coach for the Huntsville Lacrosse Association from 2020 through 2022. Her coaching experience also includes a stint as an assistant coach for Huntington Beach High School in 2022, along with offering private coaching sessions.

Coach Weaver highlighted Sarah's work ethic and reliability: "Sarah has an impressive work ethic that made her very reliable during her time at IMG Academy. I'm happy she has chosen Mercyhurst to begin her collegiate coaching career. I look forward to working with her and building on our program's success."

Sarah Farley is enthusiastic about joining the Mercyhurst Women's Lacrosse team and contributing to its success: "I am thrilled to join the Mercyhurst Women's Lacrosse program. The opportunity to work with Coach Weaver and the talented athletes here is incredibly exciting. I am eager to help elevate our team's performance and contribute to our success in the upcoming season."

With her extensive background as both a player and a coach, Sarah Farley is poised to be a valuable asset to the Mercyhurst Women's Lacrosse team. The community eagerly anticipates the positive impact she will have on the program as they prepare for the 2024 campaign.
