Liz Beville
Le Moyne College Interim Director of Athletics Tim Fenton announced on August 19, 2019 the hiring of Liz Beville as the sixth head women's lacrosse coach in program history.

Every step Liz has taken through the college coaching ranks and her passion for teaching the sport of women's lacrosse will be invaluable as we continue to build upon and advance our women's lacrosse program's culture of excellence with a continued focus on the growth and development of our student-athletes so they are prepared to go forth and have positive impacts on their communities."

In her two years on the Heights, Beville has guided the Dolphins to a 17-1 record. The Dolphins went 4-0 in 2020 prior to the season being shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She then guided the 'Phins to a 13-1 record this season, including a 12-0 record in the regular season to win the NE10 Southwest Division championship, the program's sixth NE10 regular season title. For her efforts this season, she was named the NE10 Coach of the Year, while three Dolphins combined for four NE10 major awards as 10 Dolphins were honored by the conference. After six Dolphins received IWLCA East Region honors, three were named IWLCA All-America selections.
Beginning July 1, 2021, Beville will be serving as a Division II representative on the IWLCA Board of Directors.
A native of Jamesville, Beville comes to Le Moyne after serving the 2019 season as the interim head coach at Colgate University. She was hired as an assistant coach on August 10, 2018 and was named the interim head coach on January 25, 2019. Beville guided the Raiders to an 8-10 record, including a mark of 5-4 in Patriot League action. The Raiders earned the fifth seed in the Patriot League Tournament and went on to upset Boston University in the first round for the program's first Patriot League tournament victory since 2011 and their first berth into the semifinals since 2015. Beville mentored four student-athletes to Patriot League All-Conference honors, while two earned Patriot League All-Tournament Team recognition. Additionally, 22 members of the team earned Patriot League Academic Honor Roll accolades and one was selected to the Academic All-Patriot League Team.
Beville arrived at Colgate after spending the 2017-18 season as an assistant coach at Division II Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Mavericks went 12-4 on the season, including a 7-2 mark in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), and advanced to the RMAC Championship semifinals. The four losses came to the two teams who would go on to meet in the NCAA Midwest Regional championship game, Regis University and Lindenwood University. Five Mavericks earned All-RMAC honors, including a pair on the first team. The Mavericks placed 12 student-athletes on the RMAC All-Academic Team, including three on the First Team.
Prior to her time at Colorado Mesa, Beville spent two years as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland. The Red Dragons went 35-6 and won two SUNYAC Tournament championships over the two seasons, while earning their sixth straight Division III semifinal appearance in 2016, when Cortland finished the season 21-1. In 2016, the Red Dragons had the SUNYAC Player of the Year, IWLCA Midfielder of the Year and the Inside Lacrosse Co-Rookie of the Year as well as six all-conference selections, six all-region honorees and three all-America selections, while nine earned all-academic honors. In 2017, Beville mentored the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year along with five all-conference selections, two all-region honorees and one all-America selection, while 16 Red Dragons earned all-academic team recognition.
Beville started her collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach for one season at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The Mules posted a 9-7 record, earned their first-ever postseason home game and had two all-conference team selections and one all-region honoree, while two student-athletes earned Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition.
In addition to her collegiate coaching career, Beville has been the program director and coach of Orange Crush Lacrosse since 2013. She is responsible for evaluating student-athletes, hiring coaching staffs and creating and implementing practice plans as well as strategizing for tournament games. A successful program, Beville and Orange Crush have developed over 35 Division I and II commitments in her time with the organization.
Beville played four years collegiately at SUNY Cortland, where she served as team captain and was a Dean's List student. The Red Dragons, under the direction of former Le Moyne head coach Kathy Taylor, registered an 84-7 record, won four SUNYAC Championships and made four Division III Semifinal appearances.
Beville, whose father, Steve, has been the head coach of the men's lacrosse team at Cortland since 2007 and whose sister, Lauren, played at NE10-foe Franklin Pierce from 2012-16, graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors of Science in Education in Physical Education in 2014 and earned her Masters of Sport Management in 2016.
Beville has taken part in the NCAA Women's Coaches Academy (WCA) and completed the courses with Class 43 in November 2018. While attending the WCA, which is hosted in partnership between the Alliance of Women Coaches and the NCAA, Beville focused on non-sport specific concepts that foster inclusion across the sports community and strategies that influence personal and team success. She has also served on the IWLCA Division II All-America and Awards Committees and was a member of the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll panel.
