Marisa Ongaro

Marisa (DeAngelis) Ongaro enters her seventh season as head women's lacrosse coach at Holy Family. She became the sixth head coach in program history on June 15, 2017.


HFU has won eight matches in each of the last two years, its most in a single season since 2015, while the Tigers’ seven Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victories in 2023 were also their most since 2015.


Holy Family has made three consecutive CACC Tournament appearances for the first time since 2014-16, highlighted by hosting the program’s first playoff game in 2022.


The Tigers entered the 2020 season with their largest recruiting class since the inaugural 2009 season, as Ongaro and her staff welcomed seven newcomers to the mix.


Ongaro came to HFU after spending two seasons at Delaware Valley University, where she served as assistant coach. While a member of the Aggies’ staff, she was the head recruiting coordinator and also prepared and implemented practice plans.


A four-year defensive starter for Kean University, serving as the team captain during her senior season in 2015, Ongaro earned First Team All-Conference honors from both the New Jersey Athletic Conference and Skyline Conference her freshman season. In the classroom, she was a three-time selection to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaching Association’s (IWLCA) Academic Honor team.


She graduated from Kean in 2015 withher Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, before finishing her MBA in General Business at Delaware Valley in 2017.


In addition to her coaching background, Ongaro is the regional director for Ultimate Lacrosse in New Jersey, an organization she has been a part of since 2013.


She currently resides in Hamilton, N.J. with her husband, David, and two children.

Brittany Ballack

Brittany Ballack will enter her sixth season as a member of the Holy Family women's lacrosse coaching staff in 2024.

Ballack joined the Tigers after an impressive four-year playing career at Kean University, where she was a three-time All-NJAC First Team selection and capped her career with IWLCA All-Region Second Team honors as a senior.


She finished her career with 102 goals, 23 assists and 125 points in 68 games, while also totaling 93 ground balls and 36 caused turnovers.


Off the field, Ballack was recognized for her academic success as she garnered both NJAC All-Academic and IWLCA Academic accolades.


She graduated from Kean in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, while minoring in health education.


In addition to her coaching duties at HFU, Ballack has spent the past four years teaching high school and middle school level players as a head coach for Ultimate Goal Lacrosse, where she was recently promoted to administrative coordinator for New Jersey.
