Charlotte Dixon

Charlotte Dixon took over as Guilford's interim head women's lacrosse coach in September 2017. She replaced Sarah Lamphier, who resigned after five seasons to become assistant women’s lacrosse coach at NCAA Division II Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.

Dixon assisted Lamphier during the 2016 campaign and helped Guilford to a 6-10 record. Three Quakers earned All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors with Dixon on staff.

A 2006 Pfeiffer University graduate, Dixon served as head women’s lacrosse coach at crosstown-rival Greensboro College from 2008-11. She became the school’s senior woman administrator in 2009 and holds the Pride’s career winning percentage (.563) record among coaches with at least three seasons on the sidelines. Greensboro compiled a 36-28 record in Dixon’s tenure and reached four straight USA South Athletic Conference Tournament finals. Her 2010 unit notched the best record in school history (14-4). Greensboro had 23 all-conference commendations in her tenure.

Dixon shined as a goaltender at Pfeiffer where she twice earned first-team all-region honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association. A two-time All-Carolinas Virginia Athletic Conference selection, she was the NCAA Division II Falcons’ Most Valuable Player in 2006. Dixon’s 7.13 career goals against average still stands 11th in Division II history and her school-record .623 save percentage in 2006 led the nation. She was one of 22 Division II students picked for the 2006 Farewell Lacrosse Festival All-Star Game.

The Galesville, Maryland, native graduated from at Southern High School and has staffed numerous camps and clubs, including Gamebreaker Lacrosse Camp, the United Youth Club, and LB3 Lacrosse. Dixon also serves as executive director of the N.C. Elite Lacrosse Club in Greensboro.

Dixon and her husband, Kevin Graves, reside in Greensboro with their two sons.

Summer Fowler

Summer Fowler ‘17 took over as interim assistant women’s lacrosse coach in September 2017. Fowler replaces Charlotte Graves-Dixon, who took over as the Quakers’ interim head women’s lacrosse coach last month.

Fowler graduated from Guilford in the spring of 2017 with a criminal justice degree. She played four years on the women’s lacrosse team as a defender and midfielder. In her first two years as a Quaker, Fowler received First Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors as a defender. In her senior year she received Third Team All-ODAC honors as a midfielder. She started in all 61 of her appearances for the Quakers and is the program’s eighth three-time All ODAC pick. Fowler made her mark in the school record books as she graduated second in school history in caused turnovers (105), sixth in ground balls (181) and 14th in assists (26). She also scored 28 goals in her time at Guilford.

A former team captain, Fowler received the 2016 Nereus C. English Athletic Leadership Award, Guilford’s top athletic honor. She was a dean’s list student and a four-time member of Guilford’s Student-Athlete Honor Roll. Fowler was twice named to the Academic All-ODAC Team.

Fowler hails from Decatur, Georgia, where she lettered four years in lacrosse, basketball and softball ay Decatur High School.
