Morgan McIntosh

Morgan McIntosh goes into the 2022-2023 season in her second season as head coach of the Franklin College Women’s lacrosse team.

McIntosh spent three seasons (2018-2021) serving as an assistant coach at Franklin before taking over the head coaching role in the 2021-2022 season. During that time McIntosh helped lead the program to their first conference tournament appearance in 2021, followed by an additional appearance in 2022 as head coach.

In her first season as head coach, McIntosh helped coach 5 All-HCLC athletes. The Grizzlies finished the regular season in third place in the HCLC and made it to the conference tournament semi-finals for the second year in a row. Also, in her first season at the helm, McIntosh’s student athletes broke the following program records.

Single Game records: Draw controls per game, Goals in a game, Assists in a game and shots on goal.

Single season records: Assists, ground balls, and caused turnovers.

McIntosh’s goal is to provide the best DIII women’s lacrosse experience to her players. Her goal is to provide “the best of both worlds” to her student athletes. She strives to help her players find balance while being a student-athlete at the DIII level and helping her athletes to be successful both in the classroom, and on the field.

McIntosh also was a founding member of the Franklin College varsity women’s lacrosse team (2014-2018). During her time as an athlete at Franklin, McIntosh was honorable mention all ORLC, and holds multiple program records. McIntosh holds the program’s records for most career games played and is the all-time program career leader in ground balls. McIntosh has now been with the program for the last eight seasons and has been with the program since Franklin’s first year as a varsity DIII program (2014-present).

Outside of coaching the FC Women’s lacrosse team, McIntosh is passionate about growing the sport of lacrosse in the Greater Indianapolis Area. McIntosh assists with the Indianapolis based Circle City Lacrosse Club, and the Center Grove Middle School program.

McIntosh is a Franklin College Alumni, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, a minor in leadership, and related field in business. McIntosh now resides in Franklin, IN, originally hailing from the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
