Kim Masimore

Kim Masimore (McDaniel College '05), (Pronounced Mace-more) formerly Lowry, enters her seventh season as the head coach of the Red Devil women's lacrosse program, joining the staff in the fall of 2013. She has never had a losing season in her six years at Dickinson, earning a bid to the Centennial Conference playoffs for the past four seasons. The Red Devil program has been consistently ranked as one of the top teams in the region and has risen into the national rankings on the IWLCA Coaches Poll.

In those six seasons with the Red Devils, Masimore has already produced 13 All-Region selections and has had 23 players named to the All-Conference team. Moira Mahoney '16 earned All-America honors in 2016 and was selected as the 2015-16 McAndrews Award winner. In 2016-17, Maddy Siebold '17 repeated that performance, earning All-America honors and winning the McAndrews Award.

Masimore came to Carlisle from Bridgewater College, in Virginia, where she served as the head women's lacrosse coach for three years. Masimore rebuilt the program at Bridgewater and the Eagles continually showed a successful track record of improvement under her tenure. She played a key role in the restructuring of the schedule and made a strong effort to recruit quality student-athletes, earning six All-Conference honors in her last three seasons in Virginia.

Masimore is very active on the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee and currently serves on the NCAA National Women's Lacrosse Committee. Prior to taking over the program at Bridgewater, Masimore spent two years as an assistant coach at Hamilton College in upstate New York. While at Hamilton, she helped the Continentals reach the final four and the national championship, and produced three All-Americans during her tenure. In 2010, Hamilton was honored as the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year.

In addition to her experience at Hamilton, Masimore also spent a year at Endicott College, assisting that program to a third straight conference championship and bid to the NCAA Tournament. Masimore spent a year in England, enhancing the development of women's lacrosse as a coach at the St. Mary's School.

Masimore is a 2005 graduate of McDaniel College, earning a B.S. in Sports and Entertainment Marketing and Management, and minors in sports journalism and coaching. She went on to earn a M.S. in Exercise Science and Physical Education from McDaniel in 2008. As an undergrad, Masimore competed in both soccer and lacrosse for the Green Terror. She served as a team captain for both soccer (2004-05) and lacrosse (2004-06), earning IWLCA All-Metro Region and All-Centennial Conference honors in lacrosse in 2006.

In 2016 she was named the Senior Woman Administrator. Masimore resides in Aspers with her husband Jamie and daughter Reed.

Ellison Sherrill

Ellison Sherrill (Hamilton College ’17) joined the Dickinson staff as an assistant coach with the Red Devil women’s lacrosse program in the fall of 2019.

Sherrill comes to Carlisle, following two years as an assistant at Babson College. She helped lead the Beavers to a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship in 2018, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Babson made a repeat appearance in the NEWMAC Championship in 2019.

During her two years at Babson, the Beavers received Defensive Player of the Year honors in both 2018 and 2019, adding Offensive Player of the Year in 2019. Head Coach Michelle Smith was named the NEWMAC Coach of the Year last season as Babson produced 11 All-Conference selections with nine players receiving First-team recognition in the past two seasons. Seven players would receive All-Region honors while Lexie Lenaghan was named an All-American during Sherrill’s tenure.

A 2017 graduate of Hamilton College, Sherrill was a four-year member of the Continentals’ women’s lacrosse team. She started 14 games as a senior on defense and set new career highs in ground balls and caused turnovers, while helping the program reach the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three seasons.

Head Coach Kim Masimore believes Sherrill will be a great addition to the Dickinson coaching staff. “We are so excited to have Ellison join the Red Devil family. Her energy and passion for developing young women on and off the lacrosse field will certainly elevate our program and the experiences of our student-athletes.”

She graduated with honors from Hamilton, earning a B.A. in Art with a minor in educational studies. She went on to earn a M.A.T. in Art Education from Tufts University this past May.

In addition to her playing experience, Sherrill served as a coach with the Queen City Stars Lacrosse Club in her hometown of Charlotte, N.C., in 2015 and 2017. In 2016, she was an Event Manager for Revolution Lacrosse Events in Boston and has gained club coaching experience with Central Mass Lacrosse.

She served as a community relations intern for the Major League Lacrosse’s Charlotte Hounds and the Charlotte Independence of the United Soccer League in the summer of 2015.
