Lisa Clark

Delaware Valley University and Director of Athletics Dave Duda announced Lisa Clark as the second ever head women's lacrosse coach on Monday morning following a national search to fill the position.


Clark joins the Aggies from the high school and club coaching ranks, but brings experience and knowledge from within the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom.


"I am incredibly honored to have been named the head coach of DelVal women's lacrosse. I am so excited to get on campus and work alongside the amazing DelVal Athletics staff," Clark said. "I am eager to work with current and future players to elevate and achieve the potential that exists within this program."


She spent the last five years at the helm of the Perkiomen Valley High School girls varsity lacrosse team while serving as tournament coach at Dynamite Lacrosse Club out of Royersford since 2015. Prior to being named head coach of the Vikings, she spent three years on staff as assistant coach. Her experience in the MAC Freedom stems from a three-year stint on the Widener women's lacrosse coaching staff from 2009-2012.


"Lisa has college, high school, and club coaching on her impressive resume," Duda commented. "I look forward to seeing her utilize her expansive connections in each area to help build the women's lacrosse program into what she believes it can be. We are all very excited to have her as an addition to our department and the campus community."


Clark and the Perkiomen Valley varsity team reached the District 1 3A playoffs three years in a row from 2017-2019, winning at least one round each season. Its most success came in 2018 when Clark led the team to the district semi-finals and earned a berth in the PIAA 3A state playoffs.


Simultaneously, on the club side, Clark found success at the Under Armour All-America lacrosse tournament and the US Lacrosse National Tournament. Combined, she managed three teams to the semi-finals round and advanced to the finals of the 2018 US Lacrosse National Tournament. Also in 2018, Clark earned Phillylacrosse.com Coach of the Year Honorable Mention accolades.


After graduating from Ursinus in 2009, Clark jumped right into the coaching ranks as she joined the staff at Widener University as an assistant coach where she worked for three years coaching goalkeepers, assisting with operations, developing practice plans and offseason workout regimens, and recruiting at several showcase tournaments. While at Widener, Clark earned a doctorate degree in physical therapy.


A Penncrest high school graduate, Clark was a dual-sport athlete competing in lacrosse and soccer during her undergraduate years at Ursinus. A natural leader, Clark captained both teams and led the programs to a combined five conference playoff appearances while earning all-conference and team MVP honors in 2008. She received her bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science with a minor in coaching.


Clark looks to take her success at various levels and revitalize an Aggie program that has just one win in its last 17 contests dating back to 2019.


"Coaching at this level has been a dream of mine," explained Clark. "I am so grateful that Mr. Duda and the hiring committee believed in my ability to make an impact on the lives and careers of so many student athletes. As I prepare to make my way around the recruiting circuit this summer, I am excited to show all that this outstanding institution and beautiful campus have to offer to future Aggies!"
