Lisa Clark

Delaware Valley University and Director of Athletics Dave Duda announced Lisa Clark as the second ever head women's lacrosse coach on Monday morning following a national search to fill the position.

Clark joins the Aggies from the high school and club coaching ranks, but brings experience and knowledge from within the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom.

"I am incredibly honored to have been named the head coach of DelVal women's lacrosse. I am so excited to get on campus and work alongside the amazing DelVal Athletics staff," Clark said. "I am eager to work with current and future players to elevate and achieve the potential that exists within this program."

She spent the last five years at the helm of the Perkiomen Valley High School girls varsity lacrosse team while serving as tournament coach at Dynamite Lacrosse Club out of Royersford since 2015. Prior to being named head coach of the Vikings, she spent three years on staff as assistant coach. Her experience in the MAC Freedom stems from a three-year stint on the Widener women's lacrosse coaching staff from 2009-2012.

"Lisa has college, high school, and club coaching on her impressive resume," Duda commented. "I look forward to seeing her utilize her expansive connections in each area to help build the women's lacrosse program into what she believes it can be. We are all very excited to have her as an addition to our department and the campus community."

Clark and the Perkiomen Valley varsity team reached the District 1 3A playoffs three years in a row from 2017-2019, winning at least one round each season. Its most success came in 2018 when Clark led the team to the district semi-finals and earned a berth in the PIAA 3A state playoffs.

Simultaneously, on the club side, Clark found success at the Under Armour All-America lacrosse tournament and the US Lacrosse National Tournament. Combined, she managed three teams to the semi-finals round and advanced to the finals of the 2018 US Lacrosse National Tournament. Also in 2018, Clark earned Phillylacrosse.com Coach of the Year Honorable Mention accolades.

After graduating from Ursinus in 2009, Clark jumped right into the coaching ranks as she joined the staff at Widener University as an assistant coach where she worked for three years coaching goalkeepers, assisting with operations, developing practice plans and offseason workout regimens, and recruiting at several showcase tournaments. While at Widener, Clark earned a doctorate degree in physical therapy.

A Penncrest high school graduate, Clark was a dual-sport athlete competing in lacrosse and soccer during her undergraduate years at Ursinus. A natural leader, Clark captained both teams and led the programs to a combined five conference playoff appearances while earning all-conference and team MVP honors in 2008. She received her bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science with a minor in coaching.

Clark looks to take her success at various levels and revitalize an Aggie program that has just one win in its last 17 contests dating back to 2019.

"Coaching at this level has been a dream of mine," explained Clark. "I am so grateful that Mr. Duda and the hiring committee believed in my ability to make an impact on the lives and careers of so many student athletes. As I prepare to make my way around the recruiting circuit this summer, I am excited to show all that this outstanding institution and beautiful campus have to offer to future Aggies!"

William Lawlor

Delaware Valley University and Director of Athletics Dave Duda announced William Lawlor as the Aggies new head men's lacrosse coach on Wednesday, succeeding Kevin Kohout who announced his resignation following the 2022 campaign.

"Will brings tremendous energy and vision to our men's lacrosse program," said Duda. "He has clear parameters and principles for directing a program and I'm confident he will focus on the total development of each student athlete in respect to our University's core values. We welcome Will and look forward to working with him in pursuit of the lofty goals he's set for the DelVal men's lacrosse team."

Lawlor brings eight years of coaching experience to the Aggies including his most recent two-year stint as full-time assistant men's lacrosse coach at fellow Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) member Lebanon Valley College.

While with the Dutchmen, Lawlor worked under prominent lacrosse coach John Haus where he helped bring in 36 recruits in two seasons and developed four all-conference players. He helped improve the team from two wins in 2020 to eight victories in 2022.

Prior to his time at Lebanon Valley, Lawlor spent two seasons as the head coach of the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks in the Men's College Lacrosse Association (MCLA). In 2019, Lawlor led the program to the SLC-II Championship and MCLA Nationals for the first time ever.

Lawlor got his start in coaching at the high school level, spending one year at both Pope John Paul II and Lower Merion, before making the leap to the college ranks. He was hired as the offensive coordinator and face-off coach at Alvernia University where he had a stint as interim head coach in the summer of 2017. He departed from the Golden Wolves for an opportunity to coach at the Division I level as offensive coordinator and face-off coach at the University of Arizona.

A native of St. David's, Pa., Lawlor graduated from Rosemont College in 2015 with a bachelor of arts degree in communications after transferring from Ohio Wesleyan. He was a two-year starter for the Ravens and set single-game program records for assists (7) and points (9), and earned the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Sportsmanship Award in 2014. Lawlor went to high school and competed at perennial state powerhouse Radnor High School.

"I would like to thank Director of Athletics Dave Duda, and the DelVal selection committee for this opportunity," said Lawlor. "This is a dream come true. I believe my prior coaching experiences and strong mentors along the way have prepared me to lead DelVal's lacrosse program and take it to the next level. I cannot wait to get started."

Lawlor is the third head coach in the young history of the Aggie men's lacrosse team. Last season, the squad posted a 6-11 record including a 3-5 mark in MAC Freedom play. Lawlor will be on the recruiting trail the rest of the summer before welcoming student-athletes back to campus in August. He can be reached directly at William.lawlor@delval.edu.

Didn't have a long-term experience with the site, however I found it more user friendly than CaptainU, which I had used in the past.
