Alex McFadden

Alex (Frank) McFadden was announced as the head coach of the Dartmouth women’s lacrosse team on July 2, 2019.


McFadden becomes just the fifth head coach in the program’s 48-year history and comes to Hanover after spending the previous four seasons as a member of the coaching staff at Colorado. After her second season on the Buffaloes’ sideline, Frank was promoted to associate head coach under Ann Elliott Whidden.


McFadden wrapped up her third year with the Big Green in 2022. Under her tutelage, the Big Green had four players receive All-Ivy recognition for their play as Katie Elders was named to the second team while Katina Christensen, Maja Desmond and Gisele Todd were named to the honorable mention team. She picked up her first career Ivy League win when the Big Green defeated Columbia, 22-6, on April 9. The 22 goals scored by Dartmouth was one shy of their record for goals in an Ivy League game. In the same game, Elders tied the program record for points in an Ivy game with nine.


In her first season at the helm in 2020, McFadden led the Big Green to a 5-0 record prior to the cancellation of the remainder of the season. Dartmouth defeated two ranked opponents in the shortened season, including a 13-9 victory over No. 5 Florida at Scully-Fahey Field.


In 2018, Frank and the Buffaloes finished as the Pac-12 Tournament runner-up and made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, narrowly defeating the Big Green in a first-round contest. Under Frank’s guidance, Colorado reached the NCAA Tournament in each of the last three years, winning in the first round in both 2018 and 2019.


Prior to her time in Boulder, Frank spent three seasons as an assistant with Boston College from 2013 to 2015. The Eagles posted a 42-18 mark in her three years on the Heights, reaching the national tournament three times, including a 2013 first-round game against Dartmouth in Syracuse.


At both Colorado and BC, Frank served as the recruiting coordinator, responsible for bringing in some of the nation’s best players at both schools that have turned each program into a power on the national stage. She has experience coaching in each area of the field as she was the Buffs’ offensive coordinator after working with the midfield and defense at Boston College.


Her coaching career followed a stellar playing career with Northwestern where she won three national titles (2009, 2011, 2012), was named an All-America player three times (2010, 2011, 2012) and was voted team captain as both a junior and senior. She graduated from Northwestern’s School of Communications in 2012 with a degree in radio, television and film and a minor in business institutions.


Frank was named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team three times (2010-12) and, as a senior, she was honored as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year.


Frank played two seasons with former Big Green head coach Danielle Spencer as members of the Wildcats, winning the 2010 national title together.

Tee Ladouceur

Theresa "Tee" Ladouceur was named an assistant coach in August 2019, making the 2020 campaign her first with the Dartmouth women's lacrosse program. Ladouceur was promoted to associate head coach in May 2022.


Ladouceur (pronounced "LAD-uh-sir") was the first addition to the Big Green coaching staff under head coach Alex Frank.


Joining Dartmouth after two seasons at Denver, Ladouceur was instrumental in the success of a Pioneers team that reached the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal in 2019. As the offensive coordinator, she helped guide the Pioneers to 13.70 goals per game last season, a mark that ranked 31st in the nation. Ladouceur will have the opportunity to work with another gifted scoring team as the Big Green were seventh nationally and led all Ivy League teams with 16.0 goals per game this past spring.


Prior to her time in Denver, Ladouceur was the head coach of UC Davis during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Before moving to California, she was a resident of the New York State capital, working at both UAlbany (2013-15) and Rensselaer (2012).


“I am honored to officially become a part of the Big Green family,” Ladouceur said. “I've followed Alex's playing and coaching careers for the past decade, and I am excited to learn and work alongside one of the best in the country. Her knowledge of the game is truly unmatched, and what she’s done with the Boston College and Colorado programs has been remarkable to watch. She is going to continue to elevate this Dartmouth program, and I am looking forward to hitting the ground running with such an incredible staff and group of young women.”


A 2011 graduate of Syracuse, she played three seasons with the Orange, amassing 130 goals and 112 assists for 242 points in 68 games. While a member of the team, she earned IWLCA All-America Third Team honors as well as all-region first team recognition and was tabbed as a WomensLax.com All-American. Ladouceur began her collegiate career at Albany during the 2008 season where she scored 32 goals in just 11 games with the Great Danes.


A native of Slingerlands, New York, she graduated Syracuse with a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Human Ecology.

Sean Kirwan

Sean Kirwan joined the Dartmouth men's lacrosse program in June of 2023.


Kirwan spent the last seven seasons as the offensive coordinator at Virginia, where he helped lead the Cavaliers to national championships in 2019 and 2021, along with three Final Four appearances and a pair of ACC titles. Under Kirwan, the Virginia offense ranked among the top three nationally in goals per game in four different seasons. The 2023 Cavalier attack, which was instrumental in the team's run to the national semifinal, finished as the country's top scoring offense with 17.24 goals per game and set a new program record for total goals in a season (293). Kirwan was named the 2021 IMLCA Assistant Coach of the Year after helping guide Virginia to consecutive national titles.


A 2012 Tufts University graduate, Kirwan coached 18 All-Americans during his tenure at Virginia, including recent two-time Tewaaraton Award finalist and three-time first teamer Connor Shellenberger. Another three-time All-American, Matt Moore, broke the program's single-season and career points records under Kirwan's tutelage after transitioning from midfield to attack. Additionally, Kirwan developed consecutive ACC Rookie of the Year honorees in Michael Kraus (2017) and Moore (2018).


Prior to his seven-year stint at Virginia, Kirwan spent two seasons running the Brown offense with two Ivy League titles and a Final Four appearance to his credit. During the 2015 season, his first on the Bears' staff, Kirwan helped Brown win 12 games, its highest total since 2009, to set the stage for a program-best 16 victories the following season. His offense was especially potent in 2016 with a nation-leading 16.32 goals per game. Dylan Molloy was honored with the Tewaaraton Award as the top male collegiate lacrosse player in 2016, having led the country with 116 points, and becoming the first in program history to earn the prestigious accolade. Molloy was also named the Ivy League Player of the Year in both 2015 and 2016.


Kirwan coached under Lars Tiffany, a two-time ACC Coach of the Year recipient, at both Brown and Virginia. Tiffany earned back-to-back Ivy League Coach of the Year honors in 2015 and 2016 — both seasons with Kirwan on the staff.


Kirwan played collegiately and began his coaching career at Division III Tufts, where he helped the Jumbos win their first-ever national championship as part of his record-setting playing career that featured 150 goals — the program's top mark at the time. He joined the coaching staff following his 2012 graduation and spent two seasons leading the team's offense before entering the Division I coaching ranks prior to the 2015 season.


The Jumbos won the 2014 national championship with Kirwan serving as the offensive coordinator to complement back-to-back conference titles. The 2014 team amassed 423 goals, which stood as the highest single-season total by any team in history across all NCAA divisions at the time.


Kirwan gained additional coaching experience at the professional level, spending multiple seasons implementing offensive schemes for the Boston Cannons and the Cannons Lacrosse Club. In 2021, Kirwan's offense ranked as the second most efficient attack in Premiere Lacrosse League history. Additionally, he assisted with draft strategy and roster management.


A native of Boonton Township, New Jersey, Kirwan earned a bachelor's degree in child development and was a two-time All-American (2011 and 2012), plus a 2012 Academic All-American, at Tufts.
