Lauren Frost

Lauren Frost was named the ninth head coach of the women's lacrosse program in May of 2024, and is entering her fourth overall season.


Frost was elevated from interim status following a successful 2024 campaign. As the interim head coach, Frost guided the Valkyries to 8-9 overall record and a 4-5 record in Conference Carolinas action. Frost guided the Valkyries back to the post season, while Hailey Obenchain and Sammy Sparks both earned All-Conference honors for the Valkyries. The 2024 team set the program record for goals in a season (254), assists in a season (150) and points in a season (404). As a team the Valkyries ranked 11th nationally in assists per game (8.82), and 19th nationally in points per game (23.76). Converse also ranked top-30 nationally in scoring offense (14.94), shot percentage (.488), and shots on goal per game (24.47).


In her first two season's on staff, Frost helped turn around the Converse lacrosse program and helped the Valkyries reach the Conference Carolinas Tournament for the first time since 2019. Brenna Everette, Hailey Obenchain and Ryleigh Schaeffer all earned All-Conference honors, while Obenchain became just the second Valkyrie in school history to win Conference Freshman of the Year honors. As a team the Valkyries ranked 20th nationally in Assists per game (6.94), 24th in Caused Turnovers per game (10.47), and 22nd in Draw Controls per game (15.53). In the Conference, the Valkyries finished inside the top five in assists per game, caused turnovers per game, clearing percentage, points per game, scoring offense, shots per game, shots on goal per game, turnovers per game, winning percentage and yellow cards. The Valkyries led the Conference in Draw Controls per game this season.


Prior to Converse, Frost spent eight seasons the head varsity girls lacrosse coach at Eastside High School in Greenville, S.C. Under Frost's tutelage, Eastside won 88 percent of their games since the start of the 2013 season. Frost, also coached 24 All-State Players and had four players named to the South Carolina National team.


Frost was a two-time assistant coach for the South Carolina All-State Team and in 2018 she was the head coach. The Palmetto State native has also coached club lacrosse for Laxmaniax Lacrosse Club, Dream Team Lacrosse Club and Carolina Revolution Lacrosse Club. Frost has also been a camp coach for the Clemson Nike Lacrosse Camp since the 2015 season.


Frost played collegiately at Presbyterian College, a Division I program located in Clinton, S.C. Frost graduated from Presbyterian in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2017, Frost graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with her Masters of Education.
