Alex Berdej

Alex Berdej, who recently completed her playing career at DeSales University, has been named the new Centenary University women’s lacrosse head coach it was announced by Director of Athletics Travis Spencer.

Berdej was a key contributor on defense at DeSales, as she helped the Bulldogs make three appearances in the MAC Tournament and one appearance in the ECAC Tournament. She appeared in 52 games and made 39 starts for DeSales during her career. Berdej contributed 12 career goals to go along with 59 ground balls and 39 caused turnovers. She served as a team captain for the Bulldogs during her senior season.

Off the field, Berdej was a strong performer in the classroom. She was named to multiple MAC All-Academic squads.

She was a member of the DeSales SAAC and did an internship in the human resources department at Priority Tire LLC.

Off the field, Berdej has volunteered and coached at various youth athletic programs for lacrosse, co-ed street hockey and fistball.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from DeSales with a minor in communications.

Berdej was a player for the U.S. National Fistball Team. Fistball is a game similar to volleyball except that players cannot use an open hand to hit the ball over the net. Another difference between fistball and volleyball is that in fistball, the ball can bounce in between touches. Berdej competed for the US at the 2016 World Championship in Germany and the 2017 European Championship in Switzerland.

I found it easy to use. It included all of the information that a college coach/recruiter would look for. I highly recommend it to all college bound athletes!
