Jennifer Perry, who most recently spent four years on the staff at John Carroll University, was named the new Centenary University women's lacrosse head coach in the summer of 2019.
Perry becomes the 10th head coach in program history at Centenary.
Perry served as the top assistant at John Carroll since February of 2017. During that time, she helped the Blue Streaks post double digit wins while increasing their strength of schedule each year. Perry helped John Carroll reach the conference tournament each year that she was there and coached two OAC Rookies of the Year along with an OAC Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
She was active in all aspects of the coaching program for games, practices and individual sessions. Perry was responsible for working with the defense, goalie training, and the Blue Streaks' work in the draw circle.
Perry was John Carroll's recruiting coordinator and was in charge of all visits and contacts. She helped the Blue Streaks meet or exceed their target recruiting class goals in both 2018 and 2019.
Prior to becoming the top assistant at John Carroll, Perry spent two years as the graduate assistant for the Blue Streaks women's lacrosse team.
In addition to her coaching experience, Perry currently serves as the Mid-Atlantic Women's Lacrosse League Commissioner. In that role, she manages eligibility and dues for 40 WCLA teams on the East Coast.
Perry received her bachelor's degree from James Madison University in kinesiology in 2015. She was a four-year player/president of the Dukes' club lacrosse team. Perry helped James Madison win the WCLA Division II National Champion in 2013 and was named the Most Outstanding Midfielder at the national tournament.
Perry received her master's degree from John Carroll in 2017.
