Lindsey Schneider

Lindsey Schneider was hired as the first Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach in November 2016. She added Assistant Volleyball Coach to her title in 2018, and Senior Women's Administrator in 2020.


Under her guidance, she has coached five All-Conference athletes while at SWU.


The first ever Women's Lacrosse coach for the Warriors, Schneider guided the Warriors to their first ever Conference Carolinas post season appearance last season. As a second year program, the Warriors went 5-12 and were 4-6 in Conference Carolinas action. In the first round of the Conference Carolinas tournament, the Warriors fell to the University of Mount Olive Trojans. Southern Wesleyan had charged out of the gate before the 2020 season was canceled, going 2-1 in Conference Carolinas action to kick off the season.


Schneider comes to Southern Wesleyan University from North Greenville University where she was the assistant coach. She helped develop the NGU Crusaders program, helping coach the team to its first winning season and its first appearance in the playoffs. NGU also had two All-Conference players and the DII Caused Turnover Leader while Schneider was on staff.


Prior to coaching at North Greenville, Schneider coached at Hillcrest High School. During the 2013-2014 season, she served as the assistant coach and then, in the 2014-2015 season, as the head coach. While at Hillcrest she coached players who won various awards including Goalie of the Year, Midfielder of the Year, All Upper State and All State awards. Hillcrest went 13-2 and became Region Champions for the first time with Schneider. That year she was nominated for the Coach of the Year.


Schneider earned her undergrad from Converse College in 2013, majoring in Special Education. Schneider was a dual sport athlete while attending Converse, playing volleyball and lacrosse. She was a four year starter for the lacrosse program. She was awarded Conference Carolina’s Academic All-Conference, was on the Conference Carolina’s President Honor, and the Dean’s List while playing for Converse. She is also in the record books at Converse.


She is also a rated US Lacrosse Official. And helps coach a local club team in Greenville, Dream Team. Schneider currently resides in Greenville, SC with her husband.
