Lindsay Weaver

Weaver begins her first season as the head coach at Mercyhurst in 2024.


Weaver began her time on the sidelines in 2020 when she started as an assistant coach for Holy Names Academy in Seattle, Wa. before making her way to Erie for the first time in 2022. She took on the role of volunteer assistant coach for the Lakers for the 2022 season while also manning the helm at Fairview High School as the women’s lacrosse head coach.


Weaver joined Allegheny College prior to the 2023 season as an assistant coach, helping the Gators to a 14-5 record this past campaign in a season in which they finished 8-1 in the PAC while making it to the second round of the conference tournament. After working primarily with draw specialists, the team saw their draw controls raise 6%, showing Weaver’s ability to make an impact right away. Her tutelage went further than the field as she also proved instrumental in the team’s 3.87 GPA, showcasing Weaver’s intent on developing student-athletes.

Sarah Farley

Erie, Pa. - Just a month after women's lacrosse found their new head coach in Lindsay Weaver, they also have their first assistant coach as the Lakers welcome Sarah Farley to the fold.


Farley formerly played for Central Michigan in 2018 before moving to St. Louis Mo. to compete for Lindenwood in the 2019 season where she tallied 14 goals. Farley then made her way to the University of Alabama in Huntsville, playing for the Chargers from 2020-22. In Huntsville, Farley was named to the GSC Honor Roll in 2021 while accumulating 36 goals over two seasons with 21 coming in 2022 to be fifth on the team in scores.


"I am excited to welcome Sarah to Laker nation," said Head Coach Lindsay Weaver. "She brings a wide range of skills to our program from her past experiences as a player. I'm looking forward to her elevating our attack and helping propel our program forward."


Farley brings plenty of coaching experience to the sidelines for the Lakers. She began instructing youth in 2018 as a member of IMG Academy's staff before transitioning into a Coaching Assistant at Huntsville in 2019 while serving as a coach for the Huntsville Lacrosse Association from 2020 through 2022. She also spent time as an assistant coach for Huntington Beach High School in 2022 while offering private sessions as well.


"Sarah has an impressive work ethic that made her very reliable during her time at IMG Academy. I'm happy she has chosen Mercyhurst to begin her collegiate coaching career. I look forward to working with her and building on our program's success," continued Weaver.


Farley begins her time in Erie immediately as the Lakers look toward the 2024 campaign.
