Brendan Bonacum was appointed the first coach of the Felician men's and women's lacrosse team in October 2016. The Golden Falcons began play in spring 2018 as Felician's 14th varsity intercollegiate sport, including its sixth for men, and picked up the program's first victory on April 17 against Post University.

In September 2019, Bonacum was promoted to the full-time position of assistant director of athletics for external relations. He assumed responsibility for coordinating existing events such as the Hall of Fame Banquet and will spearhead the creation of several new fundraising and community initiatives. As part of the promotion, Bonacum was tasked with coaching both the Golden Falcon men's and women's lacrosse programs. He became the third coach of the women's team in 2020, and guided the Golden Falcons to their first win ever on March 10 versus Centenary (N.J.) University.

Bonacum is also head coach of the French men's national team, having been promoted from defensive coordinator in May 2019. He will lead France in the Euro Championship in Wroclaw, Poland in July 2021. The tournament was delayed one year by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bonacum spent two seasons as the first head coach of the club team at Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga. He was also the recreation specalist at Columbus State, and served as the U17 head coach for the Copperheads Lacrosse Club. Prior to Columbus State, Bonacum was an assistant at Briarcliffe College (2013) and at Dominican (N.Y.) College (2012). At both stops, he was responsible for player development of the goalkeepers and defensemen.

Bonacum was a goalkeeper at Dominican from 2008-11. A three-year starter, he still holds Charger records for career saves and single-season victories.

Bonacum earned a bachelor's degree from Dominican in education and social sciences in 2012 and a master's in sports administration from Canisius College in 2014. Prior to joining the Golden Falcon staff full-time, he was the general manager for the Mount Olive location of Centercourt Club and Sports. He resides in Lyndhurst with his wife, Danielle, and son, Chase.

This site helped me establish communications with several colleges. The ability to contact colleges that interested me and research information about them was very helpful.
