Jessie Koffman

Jessie Koffman is entering her fifth season as Head Coach of the Emerson Lions in 2022-23. Koffman joined Emerson after four years as head coach at Wentworth Institute of Technology.


The 2022 season marks the most successful season in program history as Koffman led the Lions to a 9-7 record.


Koffman was a Division III collegiate athlete, competing in the Commonwealth Coast Conference where she was previously coaching with Wentworth. As an athlete for Curry College, Koffman totaled 121 goals for the Colonels in 39 games over two seasons. She earned First Team All-CCC selection in 2011.


Koffman began her head coaching career at the high school level in Massachusetts. She was Head Coach at Dedham High School, and helped the team to 17 wins over three seasons. She led the Marauders to Massachussetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Tournament for the first time in her final season in 2013.

Matt Colombini

Matt Colombini is entering his seventh season as the Head Coach of the Emerson Lions Men's Lacrosse Team.


Colombini is the all-time leader in wins in men’s lacrosse program history. The 2022 season proved to be the best in program history, compiling a 12-6 record and reaching the NEWMAC Playoffs for the first time. The Lions had three players named to the NEWMAC All-Conference team and had their first honorable mention USILA All-American. Additionally, two players were named to the NEILA East-West Senior All-Star Game.


Colombini came to Emerson after serving as the assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Colby College in Waterville, ME during the 2016 season. Prior to Colby, he was the assistant and subsequent interim head coach at Wheaton College. During his three season at Wheaton, the Lyons made the NEWMAC Playoffs twice and had twelve players named to the NEWMAC All-Conference team.


Colombini attended Ursinus College in Pennsylvania where he studied history with a minor in coaching and secondary Education. While at Ursinus Colombini played Goalie for their men’s lacrosse program and was named to the 2011 All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team.
