Nicki Stewart enters her fourth season as head coach of the Asbury University women's lacrosse team for the 2020 season.

Last season was AU's most successful in program history. The Eagles posted a 6-6 record and just missed out on a bid to the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament.

The Eagles had three players named All-Conference, and six earned All-Academic honors. Sarah Smith was also named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

In her first season as head coach, the Eagles posted a 5-9 overall record, including a 3-5 mark in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

Before becoming the head coach, Stewart served as the team's assistant for a year. Stewart worked with the defensive unit for the Eagles in 2016, improving their goals against total from over 13 goals per game in the first half of the season to less than 11 in the second half while seeing more experience and talented teams down the stretch.

Stewart hails originally from Penfield, N.Y., and grew up playing lacrosse from a young age in Westminster, Md. Both areas are known as the "hot-bed" lacrosse areas, often with some of the nation's best lacrosse. She played defense for Francis Scott Key High School in Union Bridge, Md., and played for the Frederick Stars travel club during the summer seasons during high school.

Stewart graduated from Towson University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2011. She resides in Wilmore with her husband, Josh, and their three daughters.

The site worked great for the tournaments I used it for. I had many coaches respond to my contacting them. The site helped me develop confidence in getting through the recruiting process.
