Ace Mallonee has been named Director of Lacrosse at Alderson Broaddus University, school officials announced Monday. Mallonee has been serving as the Head Men’s Lacrosse coach at AB since 2019. Under the new title, Mallonee will also serve as the new Head Women’s Lacrosse coach, which will return to the field for the 2022-23 school year.

“I am overjoyed to announce Ace Mallonee as our new Director of Lacrosse,” Director of Athletics Carrie Bodkins said. “Ace is knowledgeable about the sport and passionate about AB. His work ethic and dedication will continue to shine in his new role.”

Mallonee became the Head Coach for the Men’s Program in July 2019, after joining the University as an Assistant Coach in 2016. Mallonee now spearheads the Women’s program in addition to his duties as Head Men’s Coach. Mallonee will oversee all facets of both Lacrosse programs

“I just want to say thank you to Carrie for entrusting me with this title,” Director of Lacrosse Ace Mallonee said. “I look forward to working with both the Men’s and Women’s programs here at AB. It’s going to be a fun, wild ride and I’m super excited to get to work with both programs as soon as possible.”

Soccer in College gave me a good point of reference for perspective coaches, somewhere I could direct them to see all of my data, in a well-organized, efficient manner. It was a good tool for my recruiting efforts.
